It was another hurdle last week. I forgot to write about it, because I wanted to finish everything first. Now, I'm free to write. Our Thanksgiving was last Monday and there was a cornucopia of food on the table. We didn't forget karaoke as well. But last Tuesday, when I woke up, I knew I caught the cold. The weather drastically changed last week to single digit and sub-zero temperatures. I found myself sleeping in again on my classes, my review classes. I tried to sleep all day. Last Wednesday, I came for work, even though I wasn't feeling well. Call it presenteeism, but I needed the money -- my productivity isn't bad actually. My cold was still there, and I had to do some studying because my two midterms are held the following day. I came home around 10:30pm, only to find that my desktop couldn't boot to Vista. How wonderful. I couldn't study. I thought it was fine, because I read my notes in the office and at the bus. But still, I knew it would be better to study at home. Despite that it's already 12AM, Thursday, I chose to fix my computer. Awesome.

Thursday, time to wake up. Having prayed already about all of my midterms, I got up at 10am and I wasn't worried. And I'm surprised. Got on the bus, and read my notes at the last minute. With my cold still riding on me, I bunched up my coat and went inside the classroom. It was cold inside, and I kept quiet. I just wanted to finish the exams. And I did. My first midterm was handed out, and I answered every essay question on the paper. An hour passed and I completed my first exam. I left the building at 2:15pm. I already ate my brunch and so I decided to settle down on the lounge to study for my next exam -- BUS-2320. This is a sketchy exam, because my professor told us that there are only two questions on the exam, and we've covered 7 chapters. All right! The exam's 30% of our total grade, so each question is worth 15%. That's like a term paper! And they usually give two weeks to students on writing them. Anyway, I skimmed my book for the last time. I used my two hour break, until I didn't want to read anymore. Fine. Let's go.

4pm. Everything was set. I've prepared my mindset on answering these two questions. The papers were handed out. I read the first question. And it was a pleasant surprise. I read the second question and I smiled. It took a lot of writing, but the two questions were fairly simple. Remember. 7 chapters. 2 questions. What are the odds of studying for the right questions? I've finished. And I'm still cold. I came home. Took a nap.

Fast forward to Tuesday. It's my dad's birthday. And it was time for another set of exams. I studied during the weekend and in the office. What a happy weekend for me. Sigh. Woke up at 10am and rode the bus at 10:45am. 11:30am and I greeted my friends telling them why I was absent last week. I'm still nursing myself, but I'm feeling much better.

Exam time. I didn't have any problems with the multiple choices, but things got sketchy on the second part of the exam. I forgot some of the answers for the short answers. But I was already satisfied with everything. I handed my paper knowing I did my best. Second exam again, 1PM. 40 multiple choices. No problem. At the end, I wasn't sure of my seven questions, which I think is significant. I scratched my head while leaving the classroom. Nevertheless, everything's fine. It was time for my 2:30pm appointment for academic advising. I now know what to do. Afterwards, I had a debate with myself whether to attend my last class or not.

I decided to attend. 4pm. Class started. Class ended. 5:18pm, got on the bus going home. And I came home around 5:45pm. Dad was at home and I greeted him happy birthday. I was thoroughly exhausted and I wanted to go to sleep, but I didn't. I wanted to keep him company, because it's his birthday. Again, lots of food on the table. Everything's good.

3:12am, Wednesday. Still awake. Not for long.

3:12am? Why? Why do you still keep up when it's already 3:12am?
