I woke up past 9am. We went to church and arrived around 10:10am. After the Sunday school, the Pastor decided to go ahead with the preaching. Usually, it's Praise and Worship first before the main dish. But I guess they've changed the plan for today. I can almost feel the holy week.
The message was about the 4Ds, Denial, Deliverance, Dedication, and Distribution. You cannot serve Christ if you don't deny yourself. When you claim that your life is Christ's and deny yourself, there will be deliverance from pain and sin; Christ will deliver to eternal life. When you deny yourself, you can dedicate your life to Jesus Christ and be able to serve Him well with all your life, with all your soul, with all your spirit, with all of your all. When you dedicate your life to Christ, Distribution of blessings will pour onto you as you cannot out-give God.
Praise and Worship followed, and it was all Filipino songs. Then a number of people shared their testimonials, followed by prayer for the family. Finally, the benediction.
We left church around 1:30pm. I was so hungry, but I didn't want to spend today. After withdrawing from the bank so we can send money to the Philippines, we went home. We didn't have any more time to think what we should cook, and I was so hungry. We had bacon, some leftover salmon and opened a can of sardines. It was all good. My driver cousin called me and asked me what we're going to do today. I told him that I'll just call him back. Frankly, I don't know.
4pm. I called Gamestop and asked about the their product, the Power grip for the PS Vita. It's the last item on their stock. And there's no more in Winnipeg. The clerk said they'd close within the hour. I called my driver cousin right away. He arrived at 4:30pm. It felt like the amazing race from there.
I rode shotgun. He pulled the GPS from his glove compartment. We entered the address. It was 4:31pm. The GPS calculated, we'd arrive at 4:45pm. I had 15 minutes left. After sticking the GPS just above the dashboard, on the leftmost area, we couldn't move yet, because there was an oncoming truck on the other lane. We had to wait for it to pass. 4:32pm. We had to hurry. 4:36pm, we made a mistake and had to do re-route. 4:37pm, there was traffic at the intersection. 4:40pm, we made it past the intersection. There was traffic some more. The GPS said we'd arrive at 4:54pm. We still had to travel more than half the total distance. I really thought we weren't going to make it. 4:51pm, we made it and I think the GPS over-calculated the time. When I got off the SUV, a thought popped out of my head, 'what if someone bought the last stock?'
Phew. I left the building with my purchase with 2 minutes to spare.
Well, there was really nowhere to go when I bought my power grip. I was full and it was just the two of us. But I wanted to ask for his help with this video editing software. We went back home. And I felt so nappy, because it's a Sunday afternoon. Around 7pm, both of us just watched the TV and I was passing out. Before going home, I asked him to help me with the video editing software. He came back home at 9:30pm. I think I know now what I'll do.
