Everything in IPP is being recorded what's going on, recording performance, events, transition of materials as part of it. Constantly recording manufacturing events.

As soon as there is a design, you can ship the product to be built. There is always a design process though.

Such as CAD, there is a computer software to aid planning to build the product.

Workcenter is a group of workstations. Describes the place where a work step will be involved.

You want to be as repetitive as possible in manufacturing, so workers get used to it.

Variance Analysis - all org. have info about standard costs of production. That info is readily available for everybody to use. They compare their actual costs to standard costs; compare what they're doing. It's a process in itself. They do this to better manufacturing process.
