You want to be as repetitive as possible in manufacturing, so workers get used to it.
Variance Analysis - all org. have info about standard costs of production. That info is readily available for everybody to use. They compare their actual costs to standard costs; compare what they're doing. It's a process in itself. They do this to better manufacturing process.
