I don't know what to do with my life anymore. I find something worthwhile to work on backed up with my passion and inspiration, but it's deemed useless according to my parents. I finished two degrees, but it's all useless since I don't have a 9-5 job. Now they tell me that perhaps I've wasted my time and it's better to have not gone to university in the first place. Do they know the sacrifices I've made in order to reach where I am now? It was their decision to come here and they wanted me to finish university. I haven't finished university when I reached here, so I had to go back to high school again, but now that I've finished everything it's still worthless. I paid for my tuition and worked for my tuition, but that doesn't do any credit. I'm not entirely unemployed, but it's still worthless because it's not a full-time job. Who are they to say that I'm not pressured with the time I have? I'm always on the lookout for job openings. I keep sending resumes even if I get no return calls with a heartbreak. I'm keeping quiet, but my mind is confused already as to what I'm supposed to do. Spiritually I'm also hurt. How should I know that things would be this way? Things will never be the same again both with my mom and dad, and I've decided not to announce any of my intentions for the future. It hurts that I'm doing whatever I can to the best of my ability, but they don't realize it. My passion is trash and useless according to their standards and which they compare my standard with other people as well. There are times that I'm thinking of just giving up. I really want to get away from here. It's going to be a while until the wound closes and we start talking again. But things will never be the same.
