Just when it's time for me to read my books, I fall sick. It's reading week, man! And I can barely type proeperley. It's been a while since the last time I was sick. I forgot. I think I recall the last time I got sick from a flu is probably 2008. It was winter as well or probably spring, I came home from school feeling really under the weather. Despite that, I still had the flame to play Spore. I played for two hours, until I really felt sick. I hope things get better soon, I don't want to spend my reading week doing nothing. And I have work tomorrow too. A lot of my friends are getting sick too; I saw their status updates on FB. GASP! IS THIS AN EPIDEMIC?! WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THE WORLD?! Oops. Sorry. The volume of the TV was loud. So what should I do tonight?

The Waltz Dramatic
Get well soon.
Because the last update you wrote for us was back in January 1st. You just said happy new year and left. It was such a carefully planned entry.

Actually, I had a hard time searching for a good happy new year picture. And I was in the middle of a party for the new year celebration. Oh yeah, I completely forgot that I had strep throat last year, around this month too. I'm still mentally blocked.

I've finally finished the essential pieces to get this site up and running. Intense brainstorming and a lot of post-it notes have been used for this project. This pic is outdated. There should be a stuffed leopard hanging on top of the screen, but I like this picture so much.

Anyway, it's University reading week again. That means I'll have to catch with my reading. After all, reading week is an academic term for "I have no class for a week". So as a responsible student, I should be reading all week. That's right. My favorite books by the way are Skyrim, Modern Warfare, and Sleep. I couldn't get enough of Sleep, it's so addicting. Whenever you start reading Sleep, you instantly get hooked. Oh! And there's also the Mass Effect 3 book coming out this March!

Hiro Hirono
My favorite book is sleeping too! Hi-5!
Kyosuke Tsutsumi
Don't forget the book titled 'Eating'! The author who wrote it is a genius! Especially when you read it before 'Sleeping'!
Kimikim Kimster
Has anyone read about the book called 'Movie Marathon'! It's such an awesome book too! Especially when you read it with your friends!
Kei Shindou
Sigh... Men.

A flashbulb memory is a highly detailed, vivid, precise, long-lasting, concrete memory of the news or the events in the past so shocking or so memorable, as if you've taken a snapshot. One can recall the amount of sunlight, how early it was, how quiet it was inside the house, the birds tweeting outside, the temperature, the pace of the heartbeat, the color of the surroundings, the noise in the background, you remember something very much that you wouldn't be able to forget it.

One of my flashbulb memories is when I ate with my relatives to celebrate my grandmother's birthday. It was afternoon. It was a bit hot. And we went inside this simple restaurant. I remember the brown door. I ordered pork with stock, and shrimps on the side. The table was brown too and I was somehow seated in the middle of the table. Until now I can't forget how bad I felt that day, how terrible my stomach felt and how I was always wanting to throw up.

When I took off my eyeglasses, my mom found out how yellow my eyes were. When we finished eating, and I still recall how I had so much leftovers, we went to the doctor. I still remember how busy the hospital was that late afternoon, and how gray the walls were. I sat on marble, and there was a small fountain behind me. The fountain was marble too and I was waiting for our turn. When it was our turn, we entered the opened white door. When my mom told the doctor how bad I felt, I think the doctor had an idea. So I went upstairs to get a blood test.

After waiting for a couple of minutes, the nurse returned and said that they had to test my blood again, because they might have found an error. After the second test, they gave me the results on this white paper. My doctor reviewed the results and she took off her eyeglass to rub her eyes.

She explained something to me and I figured out easily that something was wrong. I forgot the technical term for it, but in the blood there is a certain level [name escaped me, sorry] to measure if there's something wrong with my liver. This certain indicator should measure a level of 35 for males, and 70 for females. I forgot the name of the indicator but if you are below 35 for that certain level, you're normal.

The number on my paper was 1356. Compare that to a normal level of 35.

I had Hepatitis.

I remember having asked, do you want to go home or do you want to be admitted in the hospital? I was still the middle of my university term. So I guess, I'll be missing a lot of days. I was rushed to be admitted and I can still recall that brown hospital stretcher. I was asked what was the color of my urine, I said that it was brown and I was admitted into my room.

I had Hepatitis A. And from there on, I just stayed on my bed for weeks watching the Christian Network. My pastor dropped by and remarked that I was just spending time with my family. Maybe I just needed the time off. I wasn't really scared at that time. I wonder why. I got better from 1356 to below 35 in about 6 weeks. Until now, I carry this story vividly.

Finally, I have the breathing space that I badly need. It was very grueling last week. Even though I could hardly keep my eye open during this very moment, 2:47AM, I just want to remind myself how I was close in crashing and burning. I've just finished two long assignments and a math midterm. I was dying to finish work today, so I can feel really free. And it never fail to amaze me how awesome it feels after the due dates; I'm so free. It's true that things tend to get boring after exams or papers, but I don't mind the break. Actually, I demand it.

Speaking of break, next week would be reading week. Reading week, huh? Don't let this 'academic vocabulary' fool you. Reading week simply means 'I have no class for one week. Rejoice!' and I will make sure not to spoil or displace my free time with sleep. I know that I'm in love with sleeping, but this is a one week break that could mean a lot. I mean some of my classmates already booked their hotel rooms in Mexico for their 'reading week'. Yes, it helps to read Mankiw's Principles of Macroeconomics when you're on the beach.

I'm still undecided whether to apply at Service Canada next week. As you know, I am a working student and I'm taking 3 subjects per term. However, I won't be able to graduate on time if keep taking 3 subjects. So I need to take up more. That means I need money. So I need to work more. But if I take 6 subjects, I wouldn't be able to work more.

Error. The operation has encountered an exception. Must terminate.

In short: I need money and I won't be able to study my 6 subjects properly if I work. There's gotta be a way. Ideally, I don't want to apply for a student loan. But it seems inevitable for me. Whatever. If I still worked with 6 subjects... for 3 years... wow... what will happen to me? I'm already having a hard with my current schedule.

2:59AM. I can't take it anymore. I'm gonna sleep. Night.

Yuuko is a mysterious girl who Hiro first meets in a church during the Christmas night. She always appears generally out of no where. And she disappears just as quickly in various places throughout the story. Yuuko always talks to Hiro or to other characters to give them advice. It it also shown that Miyako already knows Yuuko.

Yuuko is a main character for ef: Tales of Melodies, and is focused around her connection to Himura, when they were young. She is a kind hearted person who hates being alone and puts on a brave face, even when upset or hurt.
