I feel a bit sad. Before going to work, my mom tells me that someone is planning to buy out my dad's current company. This means that the new management will decide who they'll keep and who they'll let go. I heard that they didn't keep my dad's colleague, and my dad said that there's still an air of uncertainty about his future there. He said that he has been offered the contract and that the contract is available, but they haven't shown him the actual papers yet. Furthermore, this is the second time that someone would buyout his current workplace; he's currently working for the company that bought out his old workplace, and now its facing the same problem due to the management's improper budget handling and aggressive expenditure.
To be honest, I'm worried and bummed out after knowing his state and what he's facing. Although I am confident that he will be offered the contract. I'm just concerned, because the person that they let go used to be his boss.
Let me just be short and concise, I cannot stress it enough that my dad really deserves the best. For all he's done for us, he deserves nothing but the best. He used to bring his work at home, but he doesn't anymore and he shouldn't, because I think he's past that phase. His work should be straightforward instead. Even my mom mentioned how my dad's job security was somehow much more secure in the Philippines. I understood what she meant, because my dad only worked for one company. He deserves to be in greener pastures too. That's why I'm negatively affected.
The reason to all of this downward trend is because of the economic crisis that occurred in 2014-15. Before we went home for a vacation, 1CAD = 42PHP. Now it's 1CAD = ~36PHP, not to mention the CAD even dipped as low as 0.69 to 1 USD. And Canadian companies are now feeling the adverse effects. So owners are retiring and shutting down. The top management even confessed that they want to retire from the industry. So now they've decided to sell the company to someone else. The problem is that the incoming management doesn't seem to agree with the outstanding costs from the outgoing management. I wonder, if this drags on, the old management will bleed even more cash.
My dad has it hard. Lord, help him. You know that he really deserves the best for everything.

He's going to be fine. Wait and see.
